Birmingham Catholic Engaged Encounter weekends held at the St. Bernard Abbey Retreat Center at St. Bernard Abbey in Cullman, Alabama. This convenient location is approximately 50 miles from either Huntsville or Birmingham.

• From I-65, take Cullman exit 308 (US-278)
• Turn East and go 3.3 miles through Cullman
• Turn right on St. Bernard Drive and go 0.4 miles
• Turn left at the fork in the road
  • If you miss the fork in the road, just keep going... the road loops around
• Go 0.1 miles... The Guest House is on your left

Check-in

• Signs will point you to registration in the Guest House
• Parking is between the Guest House and Conference Center

Friday Dinner

Friday dinner is not provided. There is a broad selection of dining options at I-65 exit 310 (note, Retreat Center is exit 308). Retreat check-in is from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday evening with the retreat starting promptly at 8:00 p.m.

Important Note

Capacity at the facility is limited, so all attendees share a room with another attendee of the same gender. Staff at the retreat center are not able to answer questions about Engaged Encounter.
